What We Do

Affordable Renting/Housing Program

BHH has purchased and rehabbed property in low-income neighborhoods since 2004. Once completed, these properties are made available for renters in need of an affordable home. Guidelines are provided for renters to insure that they understand their responsibilities as renters.

Currently BHH, along with 3 other community partners, is investing over 3 million dollars in the North Nashville community to purchase and rehabilitate foreclosed, vacant and abandoned properties. The North Nashville Consortium is working together to stabilize neighborhoods and is comprised of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist CDC, Be a Helping Hand, Jefferson United Merchants Partnerships (JUMP), and New Level CDC. Funding for the project has been awarded through the national Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) and is administered locally by Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA). Over 38 homes have been improved and made available for affordable rental housing to families in the North Nashville community.

Building/Construction Projects

BHH has completed 30 housing projects and has 2 projects coming soon in South Nashville area. Presently, six of the properties have been redeveloped and there are two brand new construction projects that have been completed.  The organization’s staff has a vast amount of knowledge in the industry with over 25 years combined experience in construction management, acquisition, and property management.
