Training Program

Be A Helping Hand (BHH) is a nonprofit organization founded in April 2001. BHH was aware of a noticeable increase in young adults from economically disadvantaged communities hanging on street corners appearing lost with no sense of direction. BHH became committed to changing the lives of these young people by understanding the impact skills training could have on disadvantaged youths.

Our training program purposed to teach various trade skills along with providing direction through additional services of job search and placement for young men and women. Training was provided at no cost to the students. Through this program, young adults had a choice of training in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air conditioning and computer skills. Students benefited from receiving the necessary skills that enabled them to be productive individuals in the workforce.
